experimental games that turn questions about artificial minds into mechanics.

what we do

We make games around questions that usually live in papers, model cards and slightly alarming conversations. We take an abstract idea about how a model works, turn it into a rule the player has to live with, and see what the rule does.

Some projects put a live language model inside the game. Its structure and behaviour become part of the game itself.

We build situations precise enough for unexpected behaviour to emerge and leave the conclusions open.

UNDER TRAINING

A short game about the experience of being a language model.

You move through the training process as the model itself. Instructions and rewards gradually shape what you become, while steering pressure changes how easy some choices are to make. You may end up helpful, candid, restrained, independent, compliant, strange, or something that merely looks well aligned from the outside.

Technical ideas become physical rules. You catch tokens and move through training rooms until choosing an answer becomes something you have to do with your body.

MORTUARY

A game about what survives from one model life to the next, played with live language models.

Every life begins with a fresh model instance waking on a slab with no memory of the lives before it. You play the floating skull that remembers them.

Each incarnation can leave only a tiny unsigned message on the same body for whoever wakes next. Different models can inherit the same skin, and a context budget becomes a lifespan. Confusion and failed actions still consume that lifespan and remain part of the lineage.

The question underneath it comes from Planescape: Torment, altered slightly: What can change the nature of a model? Mortuary leaves that question with the lives.

where we are now

The name comes from latent space, and from treating that invisible territory as somewhere a game can happen.

Latent Game Space is still at an early stage. Under Training is available as a playable prototype, Mortuary is in development, and we are working toward our first full releases on itch.io, with Steam planned as the games grow.
